Shikhar Dhawan was visibly angry after a question amid the ongoing World Championship of Legends 2025 tournament.
Dhawan, who was asked if India would play against Pakistan if they met in the knockout stages, got upset and slammed the person for asking wrongly timed questions.

Dhawan had already boycotted the scheduled India vs Pakistan league-stage match at Edgbaston on July 20, which was eventually called off following intense public backlash and his withdrawal alongside other Indian veterans like Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, and Irfan Pathan in protest of the match being scheduled so soon after the tragic April Pahalgam terror attack. After the match was cancelled, Pakistan Champions captain Shahid Afridi lamented the Indian team for not playing.
And when asked about his stance on the potential match against Pakistan, the former India player was not the happiest.
"Bhaisaab, ye sawal aap galat jaga pe pooch rahe ho. Aapko lagta hain ki main pareshan me aake kuch bolungi, magar main bolungi nahi. Aapko ye sawal nahi poochna chahiye. Aur agar main pehle bhi nahi khela, toh fir bhi nahin khelunga (You are asking the questions in the wrong place. You may think I will say something, but I won't. You shouldn't be asking this question. If I didn't play before, I won't play next time as well)," an angry Dhawan said.
India's chances of meeting Pakistan in the WCL semifinals are slim as India is currently at the bottom of the table, having lost two of the first three games, while Pakistan are sitting at the summit after winning all of their first three matches.
Yuvraj Singh and company will have to win their remaining two matches in order to qualify for the semifinals, and at the moment, it looks like a difficult task. India Champions lost their latest match against Australia and will be up against England Champions on Sunday (July 27).
Despite the Indian legends' boycott of the Pakistan match, BCCI has already confirmed that India will be up against Pakistan on September 14 in the Asia Cup. The tournament is set to take place in UAE and the two arch-rivals may formally meet for the first time since Pahalgam attack and subsequent military escalations.
