Google puts doodle on Ind-Aus semi final

Batting first Australia have scored mammoth 328/7 in 50 overs giving Team India, defending champions, a daunting total of 329 to chase and get a berth in the final against New Zealand on March 29. India have lost three crucial wickets.

Doodle is intended to celebrate holidays, events, achievements and people.

The current doodle was unveiled ahead of the crucial second Semi Final game at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) which features two bowlers, two fielders and two batsmen clad in their respective national colours.

However, Google has only changed its home pages in Indian subcontinent, the rest of the world will only see the normal Google logo. Earlier, on Mar 20, the internet giant had put up a similar doodle when neighbouring countries India and Bangladesh clashed with each other in quarter final match of the World Cup 2015.

Australian captain Michael Clarke won the toss and elected to bat against India at SCG on Thursday. Steve Smith smashed a ton for Australia.
