Chandigarh, March 24: Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell today (March 24) celebrated Holi, the festival of colours, ahead of their match against Pakistan in the ICC World Twenty20 tomorrow (March 25).
Colours of all hues, smell of 'gulal' and joyous spirit pervaded the streets here today as people from all walks of life celebrated Holi with traditional fervour and gaiety.
27-year-old Maxwell, who also turns up for IPL team Kings XI Punjab, also could not prevent the temptation of playing with riot of colours and joined the celebrations at the hotel where the team is staying.
Joined by some others, Maxwell danced to the traditional Bhangra here. Few other cricketers also celebrated the festival and wished the hotel staff and others on the occasion.
Happy Holi to all my Indian fans! So glad I could be apart of the celebration today! So much… https://t.co/ExNcMltPhm— Glenn Maxwell (@Gmaxi_32) March 24, 2016
