Mohali, March 26: Ace Indian batsman Virat Kohli on Saturday (March 26) warned Australia ahead of the 'quarter final' match at the PCA Stadium here on Sunday (March 27) saying they would make a grave mistake of adding "fuel to fire" if they decide to needle him during the high-voltage clash.
Speaking to reporters, Kohli also told reporters that he is good enough to perform well without being provoked.
Kohli, who played a heroic innings against Pakistan the other night to help his team win, is known to Australia's brand of aggressive cricket and the cricketing world has seen a number of instances of the former getting involved in ugly spats with them.
Sunday's match could see more sparks flying as the two sides will take on each other in a game that will decide the second semi-finalist from Group 2.
Kohli, 27, said his best comes out in those situations but one also needs to be versatile and can't go on with such aggressive mindset only.
Kohli, India's most consistent batsman at the moment, said it is difficult to be consistent in the T20 format and the tight victories over Pakistan and Bangladesh were humbling experience for the hosts, who suffered an unexpected defeat against New Zealand in the first match.
