Mohali, March 26: One-time champions India will have a clear edge over Australia in the crucial Group 2 match at the PCA Stadium on Sunday (March 27) despite not performing as per their fans' expectations in the ongoing T20 World Cup barring the win over arch-rivals Pakistan.

India, Australia have 2-2 record in T20 World Cup
India have beaten Australia in the last five T20 matches they have played, including a 3-0 whitewash on the Australian soil in January. While Australia's last win in a T20 match against India came in September 2012, in the T20 World Cup edition played in Sri Lanka.

Overall, India have a 8-4 lead over the Aussies in T20 cricket, unlike in Tests and ODIs where the latter have the edge.
While India have a 2-0 advantage over Australia at home, they also lead their opponents 4-2 Down Under. The two sides are, however, tied at 2-2 at neutral venues.
