Speaking to Sanjay Manjrekar in a post-match interview, Dhoni said India were batting just 60-65 per cent of their ability barring Kohli---a remark that will clearly alarm the other top bastmen who have failed to show consistency in this tournament. Dhoni hoped that the top-order batsmen would share the responsibility so that the pressure becomes less on Kohli, the only batsman to have shown consistency in the tournament so far. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh have not been able to score big in the four group matches of the tournament so far.

Meanwhile, Kohli said in another interview that the innings against Australia will be among the top and certainly the top at the moment.
