DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai will be hosting the first match of the tournament where several Bollywood stars will perform in the opening ceremony.
The first match of the tournament will be played between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants. Mumbai Indians are being led by India captain Harmanpreet Kaur while T20 2023 World Cup-winning Australia cricketer Beth Mooney will be leading Gujarat Giants.
Popular Bollywood actresses Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon are going to perform at the ceremony. The audience at the venue will also be entertained by Punjabi-Canadian rapper AP Dhillon with a live performance.
The BCCI has made elaborate arrangements to promote WPL 2023 and encourage bigger attendance at matches. The board has made tickets for the WPL 2023 season free for women and girls. While tickets for men and boys will be on sale at nominal prices of Rs 100 and Rs 400, respectively.
