Who won yesterday's cricket matches: Team India locked horns with South Africa on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, in the second match of the three-match ODI series at the Dafabet St George's Park Cricket Stadium, Gqeberha.
Aiden Markram-led South African side registered a clinical 8-wicket win against the Indian side, which is being led by KL Rahul to level the series 1-1. The third match between the two teams will be the series decider on Friday (December 21).

Put in to bat first, the young Indian side was bundled out cheaply for 211 in 46.2 overs in Gqeberha. Sai Sudharsan - the young left-handed opener - was the top-scorer for the Men In Blue while captain KL Rahul slammed a half-century. However, the rest of the batters failed to convert the starts into big knocks, as a result, their innings folded for 211.
South Africa, then chased down the target quite comfortably for the loss of two wickets as young opener Tony de Zorzi slammed an unbeaten 119 and guided his team home. Opener Reeza Hendricks also notched up a half-century in the run chase, thereby rendering Indian bowlers ineffective.
South Africa pacer Nandre Burger claimed figures of 3 for 30 in 10 overs. He was also picked up at the IPL 2024 Auction, moments later.
South African opener Tony de Zorzi top-scored in the game amongst both teams as he scored an unbeaten 119 runs off 122 balls. His innings was laced with nine fours and six maximums.
Tony de Zorzi was named the Player of the Match in the second ODI. It was his maiden ODI century.
