India Vs Sri Lanka: Yuvraj Singh trolls Shikhar Dhawan for wearing slippers during photo shoot

Shikhar Dhawan's friendly banter with his limited-overs teammate Yuvraj Singh is tickling the funny bone of Twitterati.

New Delhi, July 27: At a time when the fans are hailing Shikhar Dhawan for his quickfire 190-run innings against Sril Lanka, his friendly banter with his limited-overs teammate Yuvraj Singh is tickling the funny bone of Twitterati.

Indulging in the banter, Yuvraj took to his Twitter handle to troll Dhawan, who failed to complete his maiden double hundred as he fell short by 10 runs on the first day of the match, for not wearing shoes.

In one of the images, Dhawan was seen sporting a pair of slippers instead of shoes during the shoot. Yuvraj noticed Dhawan's picture and immediately commented on it.

Referring to Dhawan as Jatt Ji, Yuvraj asked him to put on his shoes for the photoshoot.

Dhawan replied to the veteran cricketer's comments in Punjabi saying, "Lol pata nahi c ki pic poori paa den gey.. koi nahi chappal naal vi tor poori hai (LOL, didn't know they'd post the entire photo. It doesn't matter though, I have enough style even with the slippers)."

Earlier on Wednesday (July 26), Dhawan smashed his career's fourth Test hundred.

Dhawan slammed a career-best 190-run knock as India pummelled a hapless Sri Lankan bowling attack to post a commanding 399/3 on the opening day of the match.

Brought into the squad only after first-choice opener Murali Vijay was ruled out due to injured, Dhawan made full use of the opportunity and played an entertaining 168-ball innings to anchor the Indian innings. Dhawan also shared a 253-run second-wicket stand with Cheteshwar Pujara.
