Dániel Gyurta Biography

Gyurta's early start in swimming was influenced by his parents. Besides swimming, he enjoys bodyboarding and listening to music. His hero is Hungarian swimmer Norbert Rozsa, who has been a source of inspiration throughout his career.

Gyurta's career is decorated with numerous awards. He was named Sportsman of the Year in Hungary in 2012 and 2013. In 2009, he was honoured as Hungarian Male Athlete of the Year. Additionally, he received a UNESCO International Fair Play Award in 2012 for his gesture towards the family of Norwegian swimmer Alexander Dale Oen.
