Mandic currently plays for VK Novi Beograd in Serbia. He is coached by Vladimir Vujasinovic at the club level and Dejan Savic for the national team. His preferred position is wing, and he is left-handed.

One of Mandic's most memorable achievements is winning a gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He also received the 2021 Male Total Player Award from Total Waterpolo. In 2019, he was selected for the All-Star team at the World Championships in Gwangju, Republic of Korea.
