Hadadi's love for throwing extended beyond school. He often threw rocks into the Caspian Sea as a child. His dedication to the sport saw him train under the guidance of Mac Wilkins from the USA. Known by the nickname "Arash," Hadadi has faced numerous challenges throughout his career.

Injuries and Recovery

In November 2020, Hadadi underwent heel surgery in Germany. During the procedure, doctors discovered extra bones and had to cut his Achilles tendon. Despite this setback, he returned to training eight weeks later. His performance at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro was also affected by injury, leading to three operations on his left knee and heel.

Hadadi's career has been marked by several surgeries on his arm, knee, back, and shoulder. Despite these challenges, he remains resilient and determined to excel in his sport.

Milestones and Achievements

Hadadi made history by becoming the first athletics competitor from Iran to win a medal at the Olympic Games. He claimed silver in discus at the 2012 Games in London. Additionally, he became the first Iranian athletics competitor to win a medal at the world championships by securing bronze in discus at the 2011 tournament in Daegu, Republic of Korea.
