Elena Kratter Biography

Throughout her career, Eli has faced several injuries. She sustained a knee injury at the 2019 World Para Alpine Skiing Championships. In December 2018, she had another minor knee injury. Additionally, she fractured a vertebra during a skiing training session in November 2016 but returned to competition five months later.

Transition to Athletics

Eli took up Para athletics in 2019 after a knee injury. Influenced by German Para athletes Heinrich Popow and Johannes Floors, she decided to switch sports. Their support played a crucial role in her transition. She now trains between 15 and 20 hours a week under coach Adrian Rothenbuhler.
