She took up the sport in 2008. Her initial interest stemmed from playing with water as a child. This led her parents to introduce her to swimming. Eventually, she discovered artistic swimming and pursued it further. She is currently affiliated with the Beijing club in China.

Coaching and Training

Her training is overseen by national coach Zhang Xiaohuan. Under his guidance, she has honed her skills and achieved notable success in the sport.

Injuries and Challenges

In 2023, she sustained a knee injury at the World Cup event in Montpelier, France. This injury sidelined her for 10 days. Additionally, five months before the 2022 World Championships, she underwent surgery to remove a lump in her abdominal cavity.

Awards and Honours

In 2018, she was named an Elite Athlete of International Class by the General Administration of Sport of China. This recognition followed her earlier accolade in 2015 when she was named an Elite Athlete of National Class by the same organisation.

Leadership Role

She has also served as the captain of the Chinese artistic swimming team. Her leadership has been instrumental in guiding her team through various competitions.
