Full-time Statistics: It was a thrilling match to say the least and the scoreline may say one story, but the match was completely different. Kerala dominated for the most part but mistakes from an experienced Pritam and a young Som led to their fall in this match.
Even the stats show how good they were in this match. With 57% ball possession, Kerala managed 15 shots in total and 6 of them were on target. Whereas, with 43% ball possession, Bengaluru managed 6 shots in total and only 3 of them were on target all of which were converted to goals.
90+6' The referee signals the end of the match.
A solid performance, a constant effort from Kerala Blasters, yet a few mistakes saw them lose the match to Bengaluru by a 1-3 scoreline.

Mendez celebrates after scoring the third goal for Bengaluru.
90+4' Another huge mistake from the young Som Kumar and another goal from Bengaluru, courtesy of Edgar Mendez and he seals the deal for the travelling team.
90' Missed chances and GSS being the wall for Bengaluru has been the story for Kerala in this entire game. They still have some time as the referee signals 5 minutes of additional time.
85' Kerala responding tremendously again with chance after chance after chance but unfortunately that's as far as it has gone for them with either the shots/ passes getting away from them in the wrong directions/ too far or saved by the Bengaluru defense or GSS.
80' Kerala have very little time to get back into the game and if they keep up all their constant effort and intensity in this game since they conceded the first goal, they could take it back. They certainly have the capability.

Bengaluru coach celebrates Bengaluru's second goal of the day.
74' Another mistake and another goal scored by Bengaluru and this time it was a mistake from Kerala's young gk Som Kumar and Mendez doesn't make the mistake as the loose ball from Som falls to his feet and takes Bengaluru to lead again.
70' Bengaluru are keeping it compact at the back which is working in their favour in the face of this intense Kerala pressure. However, with the way the match is going, the only question that comes to mind is how have Kerala not yet taken the lead?
KBFC 1-1 BFC
65' Bengaluru's only scorer of the day so far Pereyra send to be in pain and is taken off as Mendez comes on in his place. Even so, Bengaluru have hardly been able to get into the Kerala box since this half begun. It should be concerning them at this point. On the other hand, with the amount of chances Kerala is creating it only seems like a matter of time for them to take the lead in this game.
60' Noah Sadaoui may not have been in the lineup today but Peprah is running riot in his absence, being a constant threat near the box and Kerala have already created a few good chances in this half thanks to him and Adrian Luna. However, it's been the same story with missing chances with the home side still.
KBFC 1-1 BFC
55' Nikhil Poojary receives a yellow after a bad foul on Vibin. Minutes later, he falls down with some discomfort and Bengaluru are forced to take him off and bring in Fanai in his place. They already made a change at the half-time as they brought on Rohit Danu taking off Vinith. On the other hand, Kerala brought in Freddy taking off Danish in the half-time.
50' Bengaluru begin the second half the same way they did the first half, full night behind the efforts of going up the field but Kerala are not sitting back. They are continuing with their high intensity as well. It's been an interesting start.
46' The second half begins with a kick to the ball from Bengaluru FC.
Half-time Statistics: Two mistakes from two defenders from each side dictated the first half of the game. Pritam Kotal's cheap giveaway of the ball saw Pereyra Diaz take early lead for Bengaluru and Rahul Bheke's foul and penalty giveaway saw Jesus Jimenez score the late equalizer for Kerala.
In stats and performance as well, Kerala have been the superior side so far. With 56% ball possession, Kerala managed 10 shots in total and 4 of them were on target. Whereas, with 44% ball possession, Bengaluru managed only 3 shots in total and only a single was on target which was their only goal.
45+3' The referee signals the end to the first half and both teams go into the break all squared with one goal each to their names.

Jimenez celebrates his goal with his teammate after scoring the equalizer for Kerala.
45+2' Jimenez stepped us to take the penalty and puts the ball calmly and coolly at the bottom left corner of the net.
45' Drama just before the match goes into the extra time of the first half as Rahul Bheke gives away a penalty as he brings down Peprah.
40' Bengaluru hardly managed to get the ball away from their half for quite some time but they have already started to find their footing back into this game. They're looking a little better in the last five minutes or so. However, most of the game is being played in the engine room now.
KBFC 0-1 BFC
35' Kerala are missing one chance after the other and if they do not score soon and take the game back at their hand, they are going to rue these missed chances later on as they may run out of fuel and the intensity may run down which is when Bengaluru could take their chances.
30' The BFC defense cannot be ignored in the face of such constant threat from the home team. Kerala need to be more precise near the box but even so BFC defense is holding on well. However, that can only go on so far and they finally make a mistake and give away a foul just at the edge of the box. Captain Luna steps up to take the free-kick trying a chip in but the ball goes a bit too far away behind the goalpost.
KBFC 0-1 BFC
25' Bengaluru are making more mistakes in their efforts of going to the field. Whereas, Kerala are taking every chance they get to move the ball inside the box and trying to get that equalizer as soon as they can buy their efforts are looking a little rushed. Unnecessary rushed shots and crosses are ending up in unwanted directions.
20' Kerala have been relentless in the last 10 minutes or so since they conceded the goal. Bengaluru have hardly managed to get the ball into the Kerala box in these few minutes. However, the equalizer is yet to come.
KBFC 0-1 BFC
15' Kerala have been responding exceptionally well to the goal they conceded. Two shots on target which GSS had to get his hands on to stop from going into the net and winning three corners in the last 5 minutes or so is what the fans came to see at the stadium.
10' Pereyra Diaz is a danger wherever in the field he is and giving away the ball that cheaply so close to the box bt Pritam Kotal was a huge mistake and Diaz did not make any mistake when he came in a 1-on-1 position with the goalkeeper and chipped the ball in beautifully at the back of the net.

Pereyra Diaz celebrates after scoring the first goal for his side.
However, they rebounded with a win over East Bengal FC and have gone unbeaten in their last three matches, including a 2-1 victory against Mohammedan SC. They currently hold fourth place with eight points from five games and could move up to third with a win.
Bengaluru FC FC, led by Sunil Chhetri, have had a stellar start, winning four of their five matches and drawing once in a scoreless match against Mumbai City FC. They have an unbreakable defense that hasn't conceded yet.
They've already defeated top teams like Mohun Bagan Super Giant and Hyderabad FC. Last season, Kerala Blasters edged past Bengaluru FC 2-1. Now, Kerala will look to replicate that result, while Bengaluru FC seeks to extend their unbeaten run.
