Lamine Yamal Makes History

At merely 16 years and 57 days old, Yamal struck the net in the 74th minute, rounding off the rout and supplanting Gavi as Spain's youngest-ever scorer, who set his record at the age of 17 years and 10 months.

Morata was the driving force in Spain's insurmountable lead, opening the scoring in the 22nd minute and securing his second goal by the 40th minute, before completing his hat trick in the 65th minute.

Solomon Kvirkvelia's own goal in the 27th minute and Dani Olmo's contribution in the 38th minute further solidified Spain's position. Although Georgia managed to pull one back four minutes into the second half courtesy of Giorgi Chakvetadze, Nico Williams extended Spain's lead to 5-1 with his goal in the 68th minute.

Lamine Yamal's Impressive Record

Yamal's impressive foray into senior football was capped off when he converted Williams' cross with a fine left-footed finish. In addition to his remarkable debut for Spain, Yamal has been making waves at club level, having already set milestones at FC Barcelona.

Under the seasoned guidance of Xavi Hernández, Yamal turned heads while playing for the club's youth sides and became the youngest player to make an appearance for Barcelona's senior team in April at 15 years, 9 months, 16 days. He escalated his record-setting ways by becoming the youngest player to start for Barcelona last month, although he has yet to score for his club's senior team.
