Mohamad Nawaz, born on 21 January 2000, is a professional Goalkeeper from India. Wearing jersey number 13, and has been an important part of the squad with his consistent performances. He has consistently contributed with strong performances throughout his career.
The Manipuri goalkeeper was a member of the Indian team that took part in the 2016 BRICS U-17 tournament held in Goa, starting in their fixture against eventual champions, Brazil. Mohammad Nawaz had a breakthrough season in 2018-19, where he played a big role in the FC Goa side which reached the Hero ISL final. After missing the latter stages of the 2018-19 season due to an injury, the 2019-20 campaign saw Nawaz come back strong to feature in all the matches for FC Goa, keeping five clean sheets for the Gaurs in their run to the top of the Hero ISL table. After Dheeraj Singh became first-choice goalkeeper at FC Goa in 2020-21, Nawaz left the club and joined Mumbai City FC ahead of the 2021-22 Hero ISL.
