Is Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham angry with England Coach Thomas Tuchel?

Following a tense and controversial draw between England and Uruguay at Wembley Stadium, whispers and speculations have ignited across the footballing world: Is Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham angry with England coach Thomas Tuchel?

Real Madrid

The drama unfolded at the final whistle of the international clash, which saw Uruguay equalize late via a stoppage-time penalty dispatched by Federico Valverde. The penalty was conceded by Arsenal defender Ben White, a decision that left the England camp furious. Bellingham, who is currently 22 and was surprisingly left out of the matchday squad for this fixture, was spotted making his way down to the touchline from behind the dugouts.

Jude Bellingham not happy with England Coach?

While the heat of the moment had fans wondering if Bellingham's bewildered expression was directed at hismanager, the reality of the situation points toward a shared frustration with the match officials. Both Bellingham and Tuchel made their sheer displeasure known to the fourth official, Benjamin Brand. Bellingham engaged in a roughly 30-second conversation with Brand, seeking clarification on the late VAR decisions that cost England the victory.

Thomas Tuchel himself did not hold back his anger, making a sarcastic gesture at the full-time whistle before using his post-match press conference to tear into the officiating.

Keeping his frustrations unfiltered, Tuchel told the press: "I think it's a very soft penalty. Of course there is contact, but it's so obvious what the striker is trying to do. Maybe Ben is also a bit greedy in this moment, but to overturn a decision when the referee clearly, clearly made the signal with both hands that he saw it and it was not enough for him. Then to overturn it I was surprised VAR is in place because I thought it's not working, because the tackle on Phil Foden was not even checked, tackle against Noni [Madueke] not even checked."

The manager concluded with, "And then suddenly, this one was checked. OK, like I said, I don't think it's enough, but OK, it is what it is. I heard that our goal was a tough block before our goal. I haven't seen it, so, yeah, overall, that's what it is."

Bellingham and his manager were simply united in their disbelief at the refereeing decisions that marred an otherwise hard-fought draw.
