Supermodel Gisele and Puyol to bring in World Cup trophy to Maracana Stadium

Rio de Janeiro, July 11: FIFA confirmed that supermodel Gisele Bundchen and former Spain international Carles Puyol will carry the World Cup to the Maracana Stadium, which will then be handed over to the champions here Sunday.

Bundchen represents the host country while Puyol represents the Spanish team which won the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, reports Efe.

Puyol had scored the winning goal in the 2010 edition semifinal against Germany in Durban.

The final will be played between Germany and Argentina.
