East Bengal coach Carles Cuadrat is happy with the development of the youngsters and is banking on Shyamal Besra next season.
Shyamal Besra has emerged to become one of the key youth products for East Bengal next season. The youngster has stepped up for the reserves and was included in the first team at the flag end of last season.

Cuadrat, who is known for promoting young talents, has been following the developments of the players closely and says he will be using someone like Shyamal Besra in the upcoming season. But along with that, Cuadrat says that the starlet will have to upgrade himself in order to survive at the top tier of Indian football.
"I have seen the semi-final of the B team [RFDL tournament] and I know that Shyamal was the MVP of the match. I love Shyamal and he's going to be one of my players for the next season. But there are a lot of things that you have to improve in that player to be competitive in the Indian Super League," Cuadrat says to MyKhel in an Exclusive Interview.
Cuadrat also believes Besra will have to bulk up for the physicality at the top level and training and building muscle will be a key step for his progression. Apart from that, the Spaniard also admits that it will be a time-consuming process.
"And you can see, for example, when he was playing against Punjab, he was losing a lot of individual duels because of his physicality. He's very, very small. He has no muscle. He has been shooting from a distance which is not the right decision for a player. He has all the support, but we have to create a professional from this guy. And it takes time. It takes a lot of training."

"It's going to be a long preparation with physical program, because he has to change his physical structure completely," Cuadrat concludes.
Besra has performed excellently in the RFDL tournament, where he scored 5 goals and got five Player of the Match awards. East Bengal reached the Final but lost against Punjab FC in the Championship clash.
