In 2019, Lückenkemper faced leg pain during the 100m event at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar. Despite this setback, she continued to push forward. Her dedication was recognised when she was named Sportswoman of the Year in 2015 at a sports gala in Soest.

In early 2019, Lückenkemper joined SCC Berlin but often trained alone. By November, she moved to Clermont, FL, USA, to train under Lance Brauman. Lückenkemper explained, "I deliberately chose Lance. It is a chance for me to take the last and decisive step towards the absolute world class." Her training includes four hard sessions a week with active regeneration days and weekends off. She emphasises the importance of sleep for recovery.
