In the late 1980s, a young athlete began his journey in golf at Gullbringa Golf Club in Gothenburg, Sweden. Initially interested in football, he discovered his passion for golf when a friend's parents invited him to the course. Despite many poor swings, the few good ones hooked him to the sport.

One of his most memorable achievements was winning the 2007 Accenture Match Play Championship in Marana, AZ. In 2013, he made history by becoming the first European golfer to win the FedEx Cup in the USA. That same year, he also won both the PGA Tour playoffs and the European Tour Money List.
His accolades include the 2013 Jerring Award, voted for by the Swedish public. He was named Male Athlete of the Year at the 2013 Swedish Sports Gala and received the Player of the Year award on the European Tour in 2013. Additionally, he was named Swedish Golfer of the Year in 2006, 2007, and 2013.
Outside of golf, he enjoys fishing, snorkelling, driving, football, and badminton. His wife Emma has also competed at an elite level in golf and received a scholarship to play in South Carolina.
In December 2015, he underwent surgery on his right knee but returned to competition by January 2016. Four years earlier, he had a similar operation on his left knee. Despite these setbacks, he continued to excel in his sport.
He lives by the motto "Be aggressive and smart" and avoids playing with balls numbered '4'. His heroes include Spanish golfer Severiano Ballesteros and English golfer Nick Faldo.
Looking ahead, his primary goal is to win a major championship in golf. With his track record and determination, this ambition seems well within reach.
Currently coached by Pete Cowen and representing Barseback Golf and Country Club in Sweden, he continues to make strides in his career while balancing family life in Orlando.
