India will take on a rampant Malaysia team in the 9th match of the ongoing Asian Champions Trophy 2023. The match will kick start at 8:30 PM at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium in Chennai.

Malaysia are leading the six-team table with two wins in as many games. They defeated Pakistan 3-1 to kick off their campaign before breezing past China with a 5-1 win.

Tokyo Olympics bronze medallists India, ran riot in the first match with a 7-2 win over China. On Friday, they were held to a 1-1 draw against reigning Asian Games champions Japan. Captain Harmanpreet Singh is leading the goal chart for India, having netted thrice in two games.

Full-Time! End of the match and Team India - the local favourites - have registered a dominant 5-0 win over Malaysia - who were unbeaten so far in this competition. A clinical performance from Harmanpreet Singh and his band as they didn't just score, they were also brilliant in defence. Coach Kraig Fulton and captain Harmanpreet were near perfect in their game plans and ensured their penalty corner conversions were good. The Men In Blue also scored a couple of sensational field goals. It was the Tamil Nadu-lad Karthi Selvam who gave India the lead - seconds before the close of first quarter - and his team didn't look back since then. The hosts remain unbeaten in the tournament and with that win, they've even climbed to the top of points table.
