Deriglazova is an Armed Forces Athlete and represents the Central Sports Army Club (CSKA) in Russia. She is right-handed and has been inspired by Italian fencer Valentina Vezzali. Her sporting philosophy is simple: train well, believe in yourself, listen to your coach, and never doubt your abilities.
Her achievements are numerous. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she received the Order of Honour from the president of Russia. In 2019, she was named Female Athlete of the Year at the Pride of Russia Awards. Her gold medal win at the 2016 Rio Olympics earned her the Order of Friendship and the Medal For Military Prowess.
In January 2014, Deriglazova carried the Olympic torch in Kursk for the Sochi Winter Games relay. Her performance at the 2012 London Olympics was recognised with the Order For Merit to the Fatherland by the Russian president. In 2012, she also received the title of Honoured Master of Sport in Russia.
Deriglazova holds a degree in Law from Southwest State University in Kursk. She speaks Russian fluently. Outside of fencing, she enjoys shopping, music, and spending time with family and friends.
