Jo Aleh Biography

Aleh's passion for sailing was ignited by Team New Zealand's victory in the America's Cup in 1995. Her love for boats quickly turned into an obsession with the sport. Under the guidance of coach Nathan Handley, Aleh follows a diverse training regime that includes stand-up paddle boarding, cycling, and running.

Achievements and Awards

Jo Aleh has a list of impressive achievements. She became the first female to win New Zealand's Tanner Cup in 2002. She won gold at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and claimed her first world championship title with Olivia Powrie in 2013. Aleh and Powrie were also awarded the 2013 Sailor of the Year by ISAF.
