Heidrich's initial foray into volleyball saw her playing for three years with Zuri Unterland in the Swiss Nationalliga. Her transition to beach volleyball was influenced by her neighbour, who took her to her first training session. She made her international debut in 2009, representing Switzerland.

Playing Style and Coaching

Heidrich plays on the right side as a blocker and is right-handed. Her national coach is Sebastian Beck from Germany. Over the years, she has developed a strong partnership with Anouk Verge-Depre, whom she teamed up with after the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Injuries and Recovery

Heidrich has faced several injuries during her career. In August 2020, a finger injury forced her and Verge-Depre to withdraw from the World Tour event final in Baden, Switzerland. In July 2018, she underwent surgery for a herniated disc and returned to the court in January 2019 after six months of recovery.
