Ceplak's early promise was evident before her 16th birthday, running 2:10.15 minutes and 4:31.90 minutes in the 800m and 1500m events respectively. By age 17, she improved to 2:08.54 minutes and finished fourth in the 1993 European Junior Championships.

Coaching and Training

Ales Skoberne has been her coach since 1999. Despite Skoberne studying for an economics degree in California, he continues to coach Ceplak via email. Her former coach, Tomislav Petrov, assists by holding the stopwatch during her training sessions.

Ceplak's training regime includes extensive distance work with shorter breaks, weight training for overall strength, and sprint work. She focuses on achieving good results by putting everything into her running.
