Tillie was born into a family with a rich sporting heritage. His father, Laurent Tillie, and grandfather, Guy Tillie, both represented France in volleyball. His mother, Caroline Keulen-Tillie, played volleyball domestically in the Netherlands. His brothers, Kim and Killian, have also made their marks in basketball.

Kevin began his higher education at Thompson Rivers University in Canada in 2009. He later transferred to the University of California, Irvine in 2011 to further his studies and volleyball career. At UC Irvine, he studied Sociology and played for the university's team.

Professional Career

Tillie currently plays for Top Volley Cisterna in Italy. His club coach is Slobodan Kovac, while his father Laurent Tillie coaches him at the national level. Over the years, Kevin has faced several injuries, including tendon cleaning surgeries on his knees in 2017 and surgery on his left shoulder.

Despite these challenges, Tillie has received numerous accolades. He was named Best Receiver of the 2017 Polish Cup and earned several honours during his time at UC Irvine. These include being named to the All-American First Team and the All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Conference First Team in 2012 and 2013.

Personal Life

Kevin resides in Italy with his wife Anna Dyakiewicz and their daughter Olivia, born in 2020. Anna is a Canadian volleyball player who has played professionally in Sweden. Kevin speaks Dutch, English, and French fluently.

Tillie cites his family as the most influential people in his career. His hobbies include playing basketball, video games, and listening to rap music. Despite initial concerns about being coached by his father for the national team, he adapted well with support from teammates.
