In preparation for the upcoming 10th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), U Mumba is actively engaging in their pre-season training camp at the highly advanced Inspire Institute of Sports (IIS), situated within JSW's cutting-edge Olympic training center in Bellary, Karnataka.
This facility, hosted by IIS, features an expansive Kabaddi training arena that consolidates essential elements within a single world-class, high-tech venue.

Its tailor-made amenities accommodate various athlete requirements, ensuring a comprehensive fitness experience for players during their rigorous training. This training occurs under the close guidance of the U Mumba coaching staff.
The primary objective of this camp is to prepare each player on the team to meet the exacting standards of the sport, excelling in their physical fitness and readiness for the upcoming kabaddi season. The IIS facility offers top-notch amenities, creating a conducive environment for athletes.
"It's known as the "Inspire Institute of Sport" for good reason, as the inspiration and strong work ethic that permeates the institute motivate athletes across all disciplines. Additionally, this venture provides the players with access to the country's best facilities, leaving no room for excuses when it comes to physical fitness," explained U Mumba CEO Suhail Chandhok.
The sprawling campus offers an array of facilities, including a world-class gym, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, recovery ice baths, and outdoor amenities. The latest advancements in sports science, sports technology, sports nutrition, as well as experienced physiotherapists, cater to the specific fitness and holistic requirements necessary for Kabaddi.
This includes well-equipped training and recovery rooms with ice baths and saunas, facilitating comprehensive training schedules and post-session recovery for athletes.
Coach Gholamreza Mazandarani added, "We have ensured that the training programs are tailored to cater to all levels of fitness and customized to meet specific goals aimed at enhancing individual player performance. JSW's Inspire Institute of Sport will significantly boost U Mumba's prospects in Pro Kabaddi League Season 10."
The training camp, spanning 43 days, commenced on October 15 and is scheduled to continue until November 28. The facility has witnessed the unique inspiration that flows through every corner, a testament to the institute's heritage of hosting top athletes.
The camp itself is divided into two phases, focusing on enhancing fitness levels and developing deeper tactical and match-related strategies. The first phase will pause for five days to celebrate Diwali on November 15 before the entire squad reconvenes. The 10th edition of PKL will return in a 12-city caravan format, with the league commencing on December 2, 2023.
