Le Quoc Toan Tran Biography

In November 2020, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) awarded Tran the bronze medal in the 56kg category from the 2012 Olympic Games in London. This came after Azerbaijani weightlifter Valentin Hristov was stripped of the medal due to a doping offence. Tran originally placed fourth in the event.

Tran expressed mixed feelings about receiving the medal eight years later. He stated, "I'm not sure whether I should be happy or not. If I got it eight years ago, it would be really fun, but now it is only a symbol to remember the coaches who helped me practise and compete."
