Artistic swimming has been a significant part of her life since she was five years old. By the age of ten, she began competing in the sport. Her journey into artistic swimming was influenced by her parents. Her father managed a swimming pool, and her mother worked as a swimming coach.

She is affiliated with the Busan Swimming Federation in the Republic of Korea. Her training regime is rigorous, involving up to eight hours of water training daily. This dedication is evident in her performances and achievements.
Her national coach is Oksana Pismennaya from Ukraine. Under Pismennaya's guidance, she has honed her skills and achieved significant milestones in her career.
In 2022, she made history at the world championships in Budapest, Hungary. She became the first artistic swimmer from the Republic of Korea to compete in the final of the solo technical routine, finishing 12th. Alongside her partner Hur Yoonseo, she also reached the final of the duet technical routine, securing another 12th place finish.
Looking ahead, she aims to compete at the Olympic Games. This goal drives her continuous efforts and dedication to artistic swimming.
