Lee's journey in cycling started in 2003. Over the years, she faced several challenges. In 2006, she broke her wrist during training after colliding with a dog. This injury required three operations and kept her out of competition for about a year. In 2016, she injured her right hip and head during the women's keirin at the World Championships in London.

Achievements and Awards

Despite these setbacks, Lee's career is marked by numerous achievements. She won a bronze medal in the keirin at the 2012 Olympic Games, making it Hong Kong's first Olympic medal in track cycling. She also claimed bronze in the women's sprint at the 2020 Tokyo Games, becoming the first athlete from Hong Kong to finish on the podium at more than one edition of the Olympic Games.

Lee has received several awards throughout her career. She was honoured with the Outstanding Athlete Award from the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong eight times by 2021. At the Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards, she received the Most Potential award in 2010 and the Best Athlete award in both 2012 and 2013.
