Lim Sihyeon Biography

Lim started archery in the third grade after her school did not have a football team. She debuted at the 2023 World Cup in Shanghai, where she secured first place in both individual and team events.

Recent Achievements

In 2023, Lim won gold in the mixed team event at the World Championships in Berlin. She also finished eighth in Women's Recurve and ninth in Women's Recurve Team at the same event.

World Cup Success

Lim's performance in the World Cup has been stellar. In 2024, she secured first place in Stage 1 and Stage 2. In 2023, she also achieved first place in Stage 2 and Stage 3, finishing third overall.

Olympic Records

On July 25, 2024, Lim set a new world record of 694 points in the Women’s Individual Ranking Round at the Paris Olympic Games. This surpassed the previous record of 692 set in 's-Hertogenbosch in 2019.

Asian Games Triumph

Lim became a three-time gold medallist at the 2023 Asian Games. She won gold in individual recurve, team event with An San and Choi Misun, and mixed team with Lee Wooseok. This made her Korea’s first triple medallist at the Games since Seoul 1986.
