Cerruti is affiliated with Rari Nantes Savona and GS Marina Militare. Her national coach is Patrizia Giallombardo. Cerruti has been competing alongside her duet partner, Costanza Ferro, since they were six years old. The duo competed together at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games and placed fifth in the duet technical routine at the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.

Memorable Achievements

One of Cerruti's most memorable sporting achievements was competing at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. In 2022, she and Ferro received the 'Donna in Carriera' award from the Savona branch of FIDAPA BPW Italy. She also received acknowledgements from the Liguria regional council and municipal councils of Genoa and Savona for her performance at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Challenges and Injuries

In 2021, Cerruti sprained ligaments in her ankle, causing her to miss that year's European Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Despite this setback, she continued to pursue her passion for synchronised swimming. Cerruti's dedication to the sport is evident in her philosophy: "Synchronised swimming is my life. I cannot stand being out of the water for two days."

Early Days and Television Appearance

Cerruti considered quitting synchronised swimming as a teenager after being overlooked for national training camps. However, her mother persuaded her to continue. In October 2017, Cerruti appeared on the Italian television show 'Big Brother' as an instructor alongside Ferro. They prepared the show's contestants for an artistic swimming competition.

Cerruti enjoys travelling, reading, music, and going to the cinema. She speaks Italian and Russian fluently. She lives with her partner Francesco Giovannacci in Noli, Italy.
