Manyonga, who speaks English and Xhosa, resides in Port Elizabeth with his son Lindokuhle. His family plays a crucial role in his life. He often cites his son and mother as the most influential people in his career. "I look up to my mum so much. She's my rock, she's my everything," he said.

In 2017, Manyonga was named Sportsman of the Year by Sport and Recreation South Africa. However, his journey has not been without its challenges.
