Marcus D’Almeida Biography

Marcus discovered archery after reading a brochure from the Brazilian Archery Confederation. He had previously been involved in rowing, jiu-jitsu, and swimming. Living near the training centre in Marica, where the Confederation is based, he found the discipline appealing and had friends who practised it.

Training and Club

Marcus trains for eight hours a day and is right-handed. He represents Associacao Desportiva Marica in Brazil. His dedication to the sport is evident from his rigorous training regime.

Known by nicknames such as Marquinhos and Quito, Marcus looks up to Brazilian Formula One driver Ayrton Senna as his hero. Senna's influence has been significant in shaping Marcus's approach to his sport.
