"I was throwing only 18 metres in training because I was making sure that everything was set technically perfect," he said.

Haratyk also worked on strengthening his legs and upper body. Despite these efforts, he acknowledges that there is still a gap between him and his rivals in terms of strength. "Joe Kovacs uploaded a picture of him with 270 kilograms on the bar and he looked quite relaxed," Haratyk noted.
