India has made a strong start to the Day 2 of the Asian Games 2023.
Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar demonstrated exceptional skills, securing an individual bronze medal in the Men's 10m Air Rifle event at the ongoing Asian Games 2023 on Monday, September 25.

His success has lifted India's medal count in shooting to four, and the total medal tally so far makes India sit in the 6th position of the table.
Tomar's talents saw him gain further recognition as part of India's Men's team that broke the world record and won the Gold in the 10m Air Rifle team event. Alongside Rudrankksh Patil and Divyansh Singh Panwar, Tomar was instrumental in producing an outstanding team score of 1893.7 points in the individual qualification round, which outstripped the previous world record China set at the Baku World Championship earlier this year.
The event was notably competitive, with China's Sheng Lihao obtaining a world record-breaking score of 253.3 points and taking gold. South Korea's Hajun Park followed closely, earning silver with a score of 251.3 points.

Another standout performer for India was Rudrankksh Patil. Although he just missed a medal finish, his excellent score of 208.7 earned him a respectable fourth place.
Moreover, all three Indian marksmen made it to the top 8 in the 10m Air Rifle event, a testament to India's impressive display at the international athletic meet.
