Asian Games 2023 Schedule for September 23: India's Asian Games Fixtures for Today

On day 5 of the competition on Saturday (September 23) at ongoing Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, sailing and table tennis team event will be the only sporting action on the day when the event officially begins.

Apart from the two sporting action, the Asian Games 2023 opening ceremony will take place at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium, also known as the Big Lotus, which can accommodate up to 80,000 spectators.

Asian Games 2023: Indian Schedule For September 23

Hockey captain Harmanpreet Singh and boxer Lovlina Borgohain will be leading the Indian contingent as joint flag-bearers in the opening ceremony, which is set to start at 5:30 PM IST and will be telecast across Sony Sports Network.

Before the opening ceremony, the two sporting events will finish their action in the morning session, starting with table tennis action followed by several sailing events.

Manika Batra-led Indian women's team will look to clinch a round of 16 spot following a hard-fought win against Singapore in the opener, while veteran Achanta Sharath Kamal-led Indian men's team events will also look to continue their winning streak following the win over Yemen.

The Indian women's table tennis team will face Nepal in their final preliminary round match ahead of the round of 16 tie. The men's team will face Tajikistan in their ultimate match of the preliminary group stage match.

Meanwhile, the Indian sailing contingent will also continue their remaining racing action on day 5 of competition in the ongoing Asian Games 2023. Here is the Indian Asian Games 2023 schedule for September 23:
