In a landmark development for Indian golf, the prestigious DP World Tour is all set to make its much-anticipated return to the historic Delhi Golf Club (DGC) for the inaugural DP World India Championship, scheduled from October 16 to 19, 2025.
With DP World as the title partner, the $4 million event marks a significant boost for the sport in India and will be co-sanctioned by the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI).

The championship forms part of the 'Back 9' on the 2025 Race to Dubai, serving as the eighth of nine crucial events leading up to the season-ending DP World Tour Play-Offs.
Sources close to the development have revealed that the organisers are in talks to bring global golfing icons, including Rory McIlroy, to India for the tournament, which would mark the first appearance of the DP World Tour at DGC since 2016. This will be the first time that Indian Golf fans will get an opportunity to see the Northern Irish golfer, who recently won the prestigious Augusta Masters, play from close quarters.
