Full list of Indian medal winners at Olympics (1900-2012)

Bengaluru, Aug 3: India's performance at the Olympic games has never been upto the mark irrespective of the fact that they have the second largest population in the world.

Our journey at the Olympics started way back in 1900 and after 112 years and 30m Olympic games we have bagged 26 medals in total till date. ['India will win only 2 medals']

The 26 medals include 9 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals and 11 Bronze Medals. Out of the 9 golds, the Indian Hockey team had bagged 8 when they were a dominant side in world hockey.

Abhinav Bindra is the only Indian athlete to win a Gold medal in an individual category. Leander Paes is the only Indian Tennis player to win a Bronze medal in Singles event.

2012, London Olympics was India's best ever performance where they bagged 6 medals in total.
