Gurugram, March 30: Spain's Eugenio Chacarra, the overnight leader, overcame a shaky start and a tense finish to claim the Hero Indian Open 2025 title on the DP World Tour. The total prize purse for the Hero Indian Open 2025 was $2.25 million.
The 25-year-old, who entered the tournament on a special invite from official sponsor Hero MotoCorp, became the first Spaniard to win the event, delivering three under-par rounds across four days.

Chacarra, securing his maiden victory on the DP World Tour, kicked off the week with a win in the Hero Pro-Am and followed it up with rounds of 70-70-73-71, finishing at 4-under 284 at the DLF Golf and Country Club. He triumphed by two shots over defending champion Keita Nakajima of Japan (72). Also Read: Eugenio Chacarra Clinches Maiden DP World Tour Title at Hero Indian Open 2025
The champion received the prestigious Hero Indian Open trophy from Dr. Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, along with a winner's cheque of US$ 382,500. Runner-up Nakajima took home US$ 247,500.
Among the Indian players, Veer Ahlawat (75), Om Prakash Chouhan (71), and Gaganjeet Bhullar (73) emerged as the top finishers. However, Bhullar's late struggles - closing with a bogey and a double bogey in his last three holes - saw him drop from T-10 to T-17.
A visibly emotional Chacarra expressed his gratitude, saying, "First and foremost, I want to thank Hero MotoCorp and Dr. Pawan Munjal for giving me this incredible opportunity through a sponsor's invitation. Without them, I wouldn't be standing here today. I truly appreciate it - this moment has probably changed my life. So, thank you, Hero, and everyone involved."
