India at Asian Games 2023: Indian athletes had a memorable day at the office on Sunday (October 1) in the ongoing Asian Games 2023 where an unprecedented 15 medals were won in a day.
With the track and field finals kicking off on Saturday (September 30), Indian athletes started winning the medals in heaps after shooters finished their campaign in the quadrennial event.

Kiran Baliyan started India's campaign in the track and field events in China by bagging a bronze medal in women's shot put. On Sunday, India bagged medals in shooting, badminton, golf, along with track and field. With that, India's medal tally crossed 50 on Day 8 of the competition.
