New Delhi, March 1: Global Sports Brand PUMA has signed a new partnership with the Norwegian Athletic Federation by continuing its ever-growing support of the sport of athletics and increasing its presence in the track & field realm.
The latest expansion ensures PUMA's commitment to being the world's fastest sports brand.
Athletics has a great history in Norway and recent successes have come on the back of an outstanding heritage with world-class athletes. But more recently, athletes like Karsten Warholm the current 400-meter hurdles World champion, the brothers Ingebrigtsen or Sondre Nordstad Moen in the marathon, have been the key figures of a revival of athletics in Norway.
This new dynamic of athletics in Norway will generate great exposure for PUMA in the coming European Championships in Berlin and in all major competitions including the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
"This new relationship is exciting for me both on a personal level and for our business," states Bjørn Gulden, CEO for PUMA.
"Athletics has a great heritage in Norway and being a partner of the federation with the new generation of great young very talented athletes is very exciting, they embody our guiding mission of being Forever Faster, which motivates us to excel and push beyond our boundaries. We are lucky to welcome them to the PUMA family and look forward to future successes together."
"We are very happy to have PUMA as part of the team. They are a big and forward-thinking player in the sports industry internationally," mentioned Secretary General Kjetil Hildeskor in the Norwegian Athletics Federation.
"In addition to being very satisfied with the partnership, it is especially nice for us in Norwegian Athletics to collaborate with an international player with a Norwegian top manager," he added.
