In the shooting finals at the Paris Olympics 2024, Manu Bhaker finished with a total score of 28, marking her place in the top four. Her journey in the finals included scores of 2, 4, 6, 10, 13, 18, 22, and 26 in Stage 1, and she concluded with a score of 28 in the Stage 2 Elimination round, leading to a shoot-off (SO).

An emotional Manu, reflecting on her performance in the final, the shooter got emotional and admitted that nerves got the better of her in the final. "I got nervous in the final. I am going to focus on the upcoming challenges," Manu told JioCiname.

Korea's Yang Jiin secured the gold medal with a total score of 37, showcasing consistent performance with scores of 3, 8, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27, 30, and 33 in Stage 1, and maintaining her lead in Stage 2 Elimination round.

Local girl Camille Jedrzejewski of France also finished with a total score of 37 to clinch a silver medal. Her journey included scores of 4, 6, 10, 14, 18, 22, 26, and 29 in Stage 1, and a strong finish in Stage 2.

Hungarian shooter Veronika Major claimed the third spot with a total score of 31, achieving scores of 6, 10, 14, 19, 21, 25, and 28 in Stage 1, and solidifying her position in Stage 2.

Bhaker has already secured two bronze medals in the individual and mixed events in 10M Air Pistol Shooting and looked poised for her record third medal but failed to finish in the top three.

Manu Bhaker's Performance in Qualifying Round

On Friday, August 2, the 22-year-old demonstrated her exceptional form and consistency throughout the women's 25m pistol precision qualification round. Bhaker maintained a strong position within the top three, concluding the qualification stage with an impressive score of 590-24x, which secured her spot among the top eight finalists.

Bhaker's performance during the rapid stage was particularly remarkable. She started with a flawless series of 100, only stumbling with her 43rd shot, which was an 8. However, she quickly regained her form, scoring ten on the remaining shots. This exceptional consistency ensured her place securely within the top two, guaranteeing her spot in the finals.
