PHOTOS: Meet the 10-member Refugee Olympic Team (ROT) for Rio Games

In June, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) named a 10-member squad of refugees from 4 different countries, helping them realise their dreams of competing at the Games.

"These refugees have no home, no team, no flag, no national anthem. We will offer them a home in the Olympic Village together with all the athletes of the word. The Olympic anthem will be played in their honour and the Olympic flag will lead them into the Olympic Stadium," IOC president Thomas Bach said.

"There has never been such a team before - the IOC has never organised such a team before so it is new for everyone, it is without precedent," he added.

The members of ROT have already started arriving in Rio de Janeiro and are staying at the Athletes Village.
