
Bhaker and Mitharval overtook their German rivals in the final phase of the match. The Indian team took gold with 476.1 points, 0.9 points ahead of Sandra and Christian Reitz, who claimed silver for Germany with 475.2.
With this gold, India took their tally of the brightest medal to three in the tournament.
The bronze medal went to France's Celine Goberville and Florian Fouquet, who placed 3rd with 415.1 points, while India's second team - composed by Mahima Turhi Agrawal and Shahzar Rizvi - followed in 4th position with 372.4.

India bagged another medal in the event as Mehuli Ghosh and Deepak Kumar settled for bronze in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team final.
While taking 3rd place with 435.1 points - just 0.7-point away from Coman and Moldoveanu at the 42nd-shot mark - the Indian pair added another bronze to their country's medal count.
Ghosh and Kumar bested their teammates Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar, who placed just outside of the podium with 392.6 points, after entering the final with the highest qualification score.
Earlier on Sunday (March 4), Bhaker won her first gold by defeating the host country's Alejandra Zavala, a two-time World Cup Finals winner, with a 10.8 in the last shot of the 24 shot final, to come out on top with a score of 237.5 in the 10m Air Pistol final. Zavala ended at 237.1 while Celine Goberville of France won the bronze with a score of 217.0.
