Chennai, Aug 21: The Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) 2024 season is set to kick off today at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.
As one of the most anticipated events in Indian table tennis, this year's edition promises to be bigger and better with the addition of two new teams and a lineup of some of the world's top talent. Here's everything you need to know about the fifth edition of this thrilling tournament.

The 2024 season introduces two new teams: the Jaipur Patriots and the Ahmedabad SG Pipers. The opening match will feature the Jaipur Patriots making their UTT debut against the reigning champions, the Goa Challengers, a clash that promises to set the tone for the rest of the tournament. The Ahmedabad SG Pipers will also make their debut, facing off against the Puneri Paltan on August 23.
The tournament will feature eight teams divided into two groups of four for the league stage. Each team will compete in a series of matches, with the top teams advancing to the knockout rounds. A total of 23 matches will be played, all exclusively available on JioCinema and Sports18 Khel.
UTT 2024 will showcase some of the best table tennis players from around the world. Fans can look forward to seeing international stars like Bernadette Szocs from Romania, Nina Mittelham from Germany, and Quadri Aruna from Nigeria, who will be representing various franchises.
