New Delhi, Aug 31: Setting an example of sportsman spirit, Indian wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt on Wednesday (August 31) said that he doesn't wish to take the London Olympics 2012 silver medal from late Besik Kudukhov's family.
'My London Olympics bronze medal has been upgraded to silver'
Yogeshwar's London Olympics 2012 bronze medal was upgraded to silver after Kudukhov tested positive for a banned substance.
The wrestler informed on August 30 that his bronze, in men's 60kg freestyle in London Games 4 years ago, had been upgraded to silver.
Yogeshwar took to Twitter to express his desire of not accepting the silver medal and asked the Russian's family to keep it.

"Besik Kudukhov was a great wrestler. Now that he's dead, his failure in dope test is sad. I respect him as a sportsperson. If possible, I want the medal to be left with his family. It will be honourable for the deceased wrestler's family too. For me, human sympathy is more important," tweeted the wrestler.

The 4-time world champion and 2-time Olympic medallist Kudukhov, who died in a car crash in 2013 in southern Russia, tested positive for a dope test conducted by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
