IndianOil Grand Prix of India: Yuvraj Singh, Shikhar Dhawan & John Abraham dazzle at Buddha International Circuit

Greater Noida, Sep 24: The Buddha International Circuit on Sunday (September 24) dazzled with an array of stars from the Bollywood and cricketing world. Bollywood actor John Abraham, former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh, and current senior India batter Shikhar Dhawan arrived for the MotoGP final that took place on September 24.

Their presence showcased the seamless convergence of different sports and amplified the buzz around the major international event. John and Yuvraj also had the honour of waving the chequered flag to signal the end of the Moto 2 final race, won by Pedro Acosta of RedBull KTM Ajo.

John Abraham - who himself is an avid motorbike rider - expressed gratitude towards the IndianOil Grand Prix of India for bringing MotoGP to the country. His great desire is to see Indian youngsters taking up track racing and eventually competing in the MotoGP.

"My dream would be to start an academy one day. I want to see an Indian star in MotoGP and this is the ambition I would want for India as well," said John Abraham.

Cricket & Bollywood Meets Motorsport at Buddha International Circuit

Yuvraj Singh, who has been a giant in the world of cricket, was one of the privileged ones to be present at the MotoGP final. He has achieved global fame with his all-round cricket skills, showcasing his supreme talent with numerous match-winning performances for India.

Along with Yuvraj, Shikhar Dhawan, the smashing opener for the Indian cricket team, was also in attendance. Known for his aggressive style of play on the cricket pitch, Dhawan's inclination towards the high-adrenaline world of MotoGP is not surprising. He is known for his love of fast cars and has often shared glimpses of his extensive automobile collection with his fans.

Shikhar Dhawan commented, "The speed and the power of MotoGP is really thrilling and I am excited to see the races. India is growing immensely in the field of sport and it's really good to see MotoGP coming to India."

Their presence at the venue pointed to their interest and fondness for motorsports. The Yuvraj and Dhawan were seen enthusiastically cheering the racers, creating an exceptional moment for both cricket and MotoGP fans.

The event saw an impressive participation of 41 teams and 82 riders from the MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 categories, featuring celebrated riders such as Francesco Bagnaia, Marc Marquez, Marco Bezzecchi, Brad Binder, Jack Miller, and Jorge Martin.

The electrifying action of the IndianOil Grand Prix of India is broadcast exclusively on Sports18 and live-streamed on JioCinema in India. The organizers have provided an online platform, BookMyShow for fans to secure their tickets and partake in the thrilling event.
